I have a habit of drawing things the way I think they should look. When I saw a painting of a dryad looking too human (it was a very good piece though) I decided to take it upon myself to come up with a more plant like dryad. I gave her leaves for hair, twigs growing out of her joints, and branch like fingers. I wanted more lines – like the age lines of a tree – on her skin but it didn’t look right. She ended up with a human look more so than I wanted – BUT, she does have leafy eyelashes and eyebrows.
